Today is the Food Pantry Collection Day. 

Today: the 4th Community Flock Party, to be held at Lake Front Park from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.  Come share the Spirit!  Everything is free:  live music - “Take Heart,”  food, games for all ages, events, puppet play, market place, balloon art, acts of kindness, tattoos, story telling, crafts, fun! 

The Zion Youth Group invites you to an Ice Cream Social Sunday, August 21 at the Christian Center, immediately following the 9:15 worship service.  After our 9:15 service, won't you please plan to stay for games, activities, food, fellowship and Ice Cream!   Our Zion Youth are eager to welcome you to their annual Ice Cream Social.  There will be games for the young and the maybe-not-so-young-but-young-at-heart!  Join us for cornhole, water balloon toss, kickball, volleyball, and more! We will have hot dogs and other picnic food.  Plus we will serve ice cream with all of the toppings!  Free-well donations will be accepted to help the youth earn funds for future activities.  

Blessing of the book bags is August 21st.  Students from pre-school through college, continuing ed, and teachers are invited to bring their school book bags to the 9:15 service that day.  The youth will make a craft that can go to school with them.  Then plan to stay for the Ice Cream Social! 

Experience the Path!  The Huron Community Prayer Path and Labyrinth Awareness Day is Aug. 29th, with a rain date of Sept. 12th.  The event begins at 11:00 a.m.  This is designed for those who would like to see the path. Have a wonderful lunch and take a ride on a golf cart through the wooded acreage.  You can stop to pray, or listen to the tour guide as you go.  No charge for the day.  Sign up on the bulletin board by Aug. 21, or call 433-8504.

Wish List items include a wireless microphone for $525 (balance now needed is $505).  Partial donations to this will be accepted.   

Have you checked out the summer worship helpers sign-up sheets? Check your calendars and select a Sunday to be a helper. Get the whole family involved. You will be a blessing to Zion and will be blessed in return. 

Summer Fundays are continuing during the summer. Get your Passport to Adventure and join us for fun and learning.  There are many openings for teachers and helpers. Packets are on the shelf near the bulletin board in the narthex.
