In Step With The Spirit

Through the ages, God Almighty has moved his people to set apart places for meditation and prayer. With gratitude we set aside this land for a prayer path and labyrinth and dedicate it to the glory of God.

Hear us, O Lord

O God of peace, you taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved; that quietness and confidence shall be our strength, by the might of your Spirit lift us to your presence, where we may be still and know that you are God.

O Holy Spirit of God, abide with us;
inspire all our thoughts;
pervade our imaginations;
suggest all our decisions;
order all our doings.
Be with us in our silence and in our speech,
in our haste and in our leisure,
in our walking and in our praying,
in company and in solitude,
in the freshness of the morning and
in the weariness of the evening;
and give us grace at all times humbly to rejoice
in your mysterious companionship.

The spiritual life is a "path." It is more than doctrine or belief. It is the conscious choosing of a direction. Our English word, "belief" comes from the Anglo-Saxon word which means, "by-life." It is an understanding that "belief" is a way of life.
